We are always willing to work on your timeline. For optimal turnaround time, please always let us know when you need a project completed by. This helps us to better serve our clients' needs.

5. What is the best file format for submitting a document for printing?

The best file format to use is a Vector image saved as PDF since it is compatible with nearly all professional print software. We also can accept the following file formats: AI, EPS, PSD, Tiff, JPG, PNG and Indesign Files.

Having your files preformatted as one of the above helps us process it as quickly as possible. However, if you experience difficulty converting your file, no worries! We are happy to help. You can leave a note while filling out the quote form or you can contact us directly for help prior to getting a quote.

6. What is a proof and why is it needed?

A proof is the final draft of your project before it gets printed. This step is important as it's the last time to proofread content, triple-check that colors match, and make any last edits. We send proofs one of two ways: to your email as a PDF attachment or to your mailing address as a physcial hardcopy. By thoroughly examining this proof, we ensure that your project is completed error-free.

7. What are Pantone colors?

Pantone colors are color codes representing a specific shade of color. They are identified using the Pantone Matching System, or PMS. This is a standardized color system used by many in manufacturing and describes a color by allocated number. For example, a shade of light green has the PMS code of "PMS 360". Using this system certifies the colors turn out the same every time. We will use the customer supplied PMS colors when the artwork given has pms colors embedded.

8. Can I use CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key (Black)) instead of PMS (Pantone Matching System) Colors?

Sure! We are happy to print your files in either color system. If you are unsure which option to choose or would like our professional opinion, please feel free to contact us!

9. What are the requirements for images and graphics when printing?

There is one main requirement for quality printing: high resolution. This can be achieved in one of two ways. First, when designing digital files intended for printing, be sure to they are at least 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch). Secondly, image files such as jpg and png, should be at least 300 PPI (Pixels Per Inch). Whether the project is saved in DPI or PPI will depend on the kind of file it is. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us!

10. Can I place an order and have someone else upload my files?

Not a problem! The best way to send a file after submitting a quote form is through email. You can click here to send an email directly or send one when you're ready to: printing@me-i.com. Our contact information is also located in the Footer section on every page.

11. Can I have you ship my order to a mailing list?

Absolutely! We would be happy to ship your order to a designated mailing list. We will ask for this list prior to providing your quote to ensure you receive the most accurate and up-to-date pricing.

12. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check (business or cashier's), and all major credit cards. If you choose to set up a business account with us, with your permission, we will save your payment information for future projects. You are welcome to contact us at any time to set this up!

13. When is my payment due?

We ask that all orders be paid in full prior to your order being processed into production. However, this does not slow down the prep work or proofing process as these are done free of charge.

14. How do you determine which vinyl is best for my interior graphics?

With years in the print industry, we have experience printing on a variety of surfaces. For jobs using our Project Management service, we guarantee the proper vinyl will be selected as we personally assess the surface in person. We want to give you peace of mind that your installation will be done correctly.

For projects not using our Project Management service, we give our best professional opinion based on the details you provide. We will ask you questions such as the kind of surface your graphic is going on (wall, window, etc.), the texture of that surface, and any other detail crucial to picking the best possible vinyl for your project.

15. Am I able to add custom lighting to my own existing sign?

Yes, not a problem! One of our project managers will take a look at your sign as well as conduct a site survey to assess what we need to make it happen for you.

16. My installation is going to be out of state. Does your team travel for projects?

Absolutely! We routintely work out of state and around the country with clients. Each member of our team is thoroughly trained to handle installations with efficiency and professionalism. You'll be in good hands, no matter where you are.

17. What size projects do you typically work on?

Any and all! We have smaller scale projects like basic bumper stickers or paper products as well as huge installations requiring thousands of square feet of printing and intense graphic design work. Our products section has a gallery of examples from previous projects on each page. If you have any questions regarding if we are the right match for you, please feel free to contact us!

18. I have a last minute, emergency print. Are you able to help me?

Of course! We understand that projects can change at the last minute, but deadlines stay the same. We are more than happy to offer you 24 hour customer support as well as same day delivery. Please contact us by phone or email so we can best assist you!

Bleed is the extra amount of print area extending beyond the final trim line of a given print; therefore, accounting for the final print to “bleed” off the edge of a page helps us create a margin of error for installation. We will advise on the recommended bleed amount depending upon your project. Different sized print projects will require different bleed measurements. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to ask!

20. Why do the printed colors look different from the colors on my screen?

While there are a variety of factors that can come into play, the biggest one is that monitors and printers use two different color models; while a majority of the colors tend to match, there is still about 10-15% that do not. The RGB (red, green, blue) system used by monitors offers a broader range of colors while the CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) model used by printers experiences more limitations. When a file is converted for printing and the selected RGB color does not exist, the program will automatically select a color that best matches the original.

We are always happy to provide proofs as well as color swatches to assist in finding the most appropriate color match for your project.

21. Will you match a sample I print out on my own printer, or a previously printed sample?

Sure! In order to achieve a precise color match, we will arrange a digital color proof. This will allow us to find the correct color coding based on your sample. The final sample is then sent to you as a proof for approval. Once everyone is on board with the final product, we'll send it to production!

22. Does my print have to have seams?

Potentially! The number of seams depends entirely on the size of your print and the size of the material selected. For instance, most vinyl rolls are 54" or 60" wide. If you have an 8'X12' wall we will typically print (3) sections of vinyl each being about 4' wide to cover your wall. When applied, the (3) sections will create (2) separate seams on your wall. As a company we always strive to minimize the amount of seams needed to accomplish a print and often stock oversized substrates so that seams are minimized or not needed at all. If your print application has material choices that will allow us to accomplish the job without a seam we will be sure to advise you!
